Why? for Parkinson’s Disease Patients

Okay, I’ve kept a stiff upper lip for awhile now, haven’t whined in a long time, but I’m warning you….this is a whine.  Today on the Parkinson’s Disease newletter I learned that the Neupro patch (manufactured by Schwarz Pharma, a UCB company) has be RECALLED!!!!  Now, I’m not a pharmacist or scientist, but I do wear this patch daily.  IT WORKS!  Everyday for the last 8 months this patch has worked fine.  In fact, the only problem has been the adhesive (that is itchy sometimes) but the medicine is distributed in my system.

How do I know the medicine is distributed so well?  Well, boys, let’s begin with the fact that I don’t have leg tremors and restless legs ALL DAY LONG like I did before.  Also, when I took the dreaded Requip, I vomited all day long.

So, maybe you have found some problems in your manufacturing of the Neupro patch?  Well, then get off of your butts and straighten it out, folks.  There are so many of us that have become dependent on this patch for our daily functions.  PLEASE don’t withdraw this from the public market for very long!!!!!

OK, I have to ask…why (and when) was the neupro patch recalled? I wear the neupro patch myself, and haven’t been contacted by anyone…
