Contact Info

Today I was a bit distressed to learn that some folks have had a difficult time posting comments or contacting me.

So, I’m creating this new page (tab) at the top of the blog so you can easily leave me messages.  If you do not wish for your email address to be public information, I will gladly delete your info once we have connected.  Just leave me a note with your email and I’ll respond.  I am usually on this blog at least once a day, so I will be quick to answer you.

Just click below on “Leave a Comment” and a message will go straight to my email. However, I think you have to be a WordPress user in order to leave a message.  Registration is easy and straightforward.  Just register for a WordPress login and you’re then free to roam about WordPress blogs and leave comments willy nilly!!

Thanks!

  1. You are so lucky to be in this trail. Does it mean that Neupro patch has to go through the three phases to be approved again by the FDA before they put it on the market? Do they say how much longer?

Thank you for your website is Awesome!

    • What does the latest research suggest about the best strategies for managing PD?
    • How close are we to finding a cure?
    • What can patients do to take control of their own PD?
    • What new therapies are currently in development for PD?
Availability is limited for this one-time-only check-up, so please confirm your participation at your earliest convenience. Please see below for further information.

  3. Hi, BibMomma. I just signed up for this site because I am currently doing PD vision and cognition research at Boston University and “accidently” stumbled onto your blog. It’s nice to read a PD patient’s feelings without any medical “lab influence” behind them. I think I’m going to start a blog on here myself, and seeing as neuropsychology is my greatest passion, I’m sure I’ll be writing a lot about PD.

So I just wanted to stop in and say thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us all. You’re an inspiration to many.

  4. Hi,

My name is Arthur, and my good friend Colin has early onset Parkinson’s. He was diagnosed about 10 years ago, and a few years later wrote a song called Transmit Dopamine. We recently made a music video, which has been launched on youtube. We have nearly 1000 views in a week, and it appears to be on an upward curve. We hope people find it both inspiring and informative.

  5. Hi Bibmomma,
I know you kindly have an ad for my blog, which as you may remember, is ‘choc-full’ of all sorts of rubbish, tall tales, anything basically which avoids having to face PD. That said, from time to time I do publish pieces which look at specific issues or aspects of the condition.
This may be of interest to some people, particularly those who want to keep fit, or want to explore what possibilities there are, plus those who want to read about a ‘Rake with PD’s Progress’ (Me!) in the Korean martial art of Taekwondo. If you were able to (assuming you consider it worthy) to bring it to peoples’ attention via your comprehensive site, I would be delighted.
    Regards
    Andy

  6. Hi Bibmomma,

I just published my ‘Links’ page, which includes a link to your blog (which I enjoy reading, although I have a feeling that I have barely scratched the surface of it). I hope you don’t mind; if you do, I am happy to remove said link.

I’m in the UK and was diagnosed with PD a couple of years ago at the age of 38.

    All the best,
    Amanda

  7. Greetings Bibmomma,

For my master’s thesis, I am tracking the views of my non-profit, award-winning documentary, “Boys of Summer” on YouTube. The documentary is the story of my father (who has Parkinson’s Disease) and I attempting to road trip 20,000 miles in two months to see a game at each of the 30 Major League Baseball parks on less than a shoestring budget.

My goal is one million viewers over the length of the 2011 Major League Baseball season. In addition, we are encouraging viewers to donate one dollar directly to the Michael J Fox Foundation page set for this project — the same price they would pay for a Red Box rental.

Here is the link to the homepage and movie: http://www.bosmovie.com.

Is this something I could share with your bloggers and readers?

    Thank you,

    Robert Cochrane
Director, Writer, Producer “Boys of Summer”

  8. My name is Mike Justak. I’m a young onset patient diagnosed in 2004 at the age of 47. As you can see I have started a non profit. For Awareness month I have begun a project I call the “Faces of Parkinson’s Video Wall.” It will be a compilation of videos submitted by Parkinson’s patients.

The compiled video will be submitted to PAN and other Parkinson’s advocacy groups.

Please take a minute to take a look, and if you wish please spread the word.

You can see the concept video on my website at:

    http://www.mjfpd.org/FaceProject/FaceWall.htm

I would love to include a video from you as well!

    Thanks for your consideration,
    mike j
